This thing is freaking sweet looking. I almost want to throw one together.
where did you get the orange beadlock rings you used during setup?

Thanks. It's mostly an Exo and SCX. Scattered Wraith parts and one Twin Hammer spare tire mount.
I have about 25-30 hours of build time in it.
Running a spare Tekin 35T Handwound with a HolmesHobbies BR-XL and Castle BEC Pro. Savox 1283 SG servo.

I think I did this backwards. I seen this rig run at Recon G6 Rock Beast Blues and was very impressed. Now I am looking at the build thread. Awesome build, it set the bar high on a tough course.!

Thanks. I was kinda skeptical of the 1.55 Growlers and their lug spacing. But after making it through mud hole after mud hole, I am a believer now.
I was running a 35T Brushed motor with a 20t Pinion. So I didn't have alot of wheel speed, which might have helped out to.

I was smiling all day. I only had to be be pulled out of the mud 1-2 times. Most the time I was getting hung up was out in the field on clumps of grass.

The truck is 50% tore down and being cleaned. Axle bearings were seized up. I did pack the axles with grease so no mud/grit made it to the diff/pinion gears. Grip fab AL lockers showed no sign of wear.

How far did you drill into the cage for and how long did you make the 1/8 rod?

See the first picture in this thread. 1/8" rod is about 1-1.25" long and I just drilled into the cage about an half an inch or so. Used 1/8" drill bit and two part 5 minute epoxy.
Just make sure the rod pins are ground down a bit on the ends to a rough point so they slide in the cage good.

Default Szczerba's SCX-EXO

Finished up rebuild. Coated the electronics more throughly with liquid electrical tape.
Shortened up the front uppers a bit to get some
caster. probably will have to notch the front of the frame for steering linkage clearance.
I did swap to 32pitch spur and pinion. 60t spur with 15tooth pinion.

Ready for next weekend at the East Texas scale run.

Thanks for the info! I really like the stance of the rig.

Thanks. It's a semi-droop setup. I need to locate some full length springs that would fit the prolines. They would have to be pretty soft though.
Anyone know of any that would fit?

With the 35T brushed motor, 22 tooth pinion a 40c 2200mah 3s lipo lasted about 150 of 170 gates.
Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Addison, Illinois): GForce Elite Series 40C 2200mAh 3S 11.1V LiPO

Battery size is not a huge deal for G6's as you can change batteries on course.

Kinda depends on how you drive your rig and what motor/gearing you have.

All you need is an Exo cage, an SCX roller, some scrap wraith parts and one twin hammer spare tire mount.

Lol well I'm not big on copying people.... But I love this rig and started my own. I plan to do some tweaks to set it slightly apart. Thanks for the inspiration!
