The BR-XL is a great choice my brother has one and really likes it. I use a CC Sidewinder with my HH 27t on 3s. The axial esc isn't that bad either I run one of those on 3s also. I should note on both my rigs I have a CC bec installed. All three of these esc's are also programmable via castle link although there is less tuneability with the axial version. I would go with the BR-XL. You can order the motor and BRXL as a combo and save a few $$$ that way.

You can buy the ESC and motor as a combo on HH site to get a little lower prices over buying them separately. Holmes Hobbies LLC | |
