| were to place your winch battery
i`ve just fitted a winch to my scx10 and was wondering if and were you guy`s are running a separate battery to run it. i have a honcho body so space in the back of the chassis is limited though i was thinking about the rock slider on the left or right but then i would have extra weight on that side not much but some. any pics would be great edit. the battery i would be using is a 1800mah 2s nano-tech the smallest one i have right now |

I don't run a separate battery on any of mine, I just tap into the power thats from the main battery.

I've done this, The battery was removed in this photo but it usually sits just behind the winch controller. As you can see, the truck battery is on the opposite side. On my Honcho, I went with the RC4WD metal sliders. I made two plates out of brass flat stock. The wireless winch controller sits on top of my steering servo and the two batteries are again opposite of one another. Sorry I don't have pics of that set up. |
