| My Rubicon and first scaler...painted on the outside.
Hey all, I really wanted to go the kit route, but without owning any electronics, decided to start with a RTR. So, I decided to paint my body and (since it was already painted) had to paint the outside. It worked really well! I wanted a matte finish and it seems pretty durable. I used Tamiya PS paints and then coated it with PS Flat Clear. (I don't know that I would bother with the PS clear next time...it didn't seem to do much) The nice thing about painting the stock body, is that the scratches and scrapes come through as silver....sort of like metal. I'd recommend this approach to anyone who wants to revitalize an old body. Thanks for looking! Greg |

I like the new color, I get tired of too many silver ones running around!
