I used the oval light buckets and lenses from the Axial light bucket kit. They look like off road lights, but work great as tail lights on the Jeep body.

cool, I got them - just need to figure out how to actually mount them to work correctly.

they're one of the kind that mounts thru the body, right?

Correct. You have to make the cut-outs in the lexan, and then part of the light bucket is inserted into the cut-out, from the front, and the back half of the light bucket bolts to the front half with a 2mm screw. It basically sandwiches the lexan body, and that's how they mount. You might find it useful to trim the mounting post off the bottom of the oval light buckets. The post is not necessary for mounting the light buckets in the lexan body.

Great build and awesome looking JK you have. Yes i already have an scx-10 Honcho but I might get another JK RTR and just build it up like yours (I don't have the time for a kit) so I might just have to build one
