Default New bright JK build rattletrap replica

Hello all.... I've decided to start my build. I've always wanted to build the rattletrap jeep jk! For those of you haven't ever seen the rattletrap...100% finished rattle trapstill don't know if I will do white or the Bed liner body color. I started the body yesterday. Got quite a bit done. I'll post Picts of that a little later or tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Thanks man and you're Right on! I use the Dremel plastic cutting wheel and do a rough cut then sand it to a smooth surface. I can post up some Picts later on if what I use if you want.

I work with the crew at MBRP quite often and am pretty good friends with Martin himself. Ive been in rattle trap and its one serious beast of a jeep. They actually just sold it to a guy in europe.
If you get your scale version done id be happy to send a pic to Martin for you. I know he'd think that was really cool.

That'd be so awesome! I think I'm gonna go with the white version. Before they sprayed it black... Should be able to get quite a bit done this weekend.

Rattletrap is significantly bigger in person than you think it is. I remember being at MBRP when they were just starting that jeep. They were building the motor and transmission mounts in the chassis. It was just a stock jeep at the time.

I wish I could see it in person! It looks gigantic next to the f350 super duty... Hopefully start building the bed tomorrow!

There's one on ebay, item number 131369947570. The only one I've been able to find for a while. But it's not cheap...

Thats a very cool looking rig to copy , are you going to run portals ? I was just wondering about the durability of the scale ones.
