| Rattletrap .5 the build begins...........
Well it has come that time again to start my winter build. I need to get a jump on it early because with a baby coming soon there will be a little less build time. I am pumped about this one.......Should be called Project Empty Pockets! Well on with the show. Some might know me from SoCrawl.com or Instagram as VS_Customs. I have had this account way longer so it is still my old screen name. First off I would like to thank Rod AKA: Dguy for this killer frame he made for me using the wraith chassis plate. Got it home and in no time I had the Vanquish parts tossed under it. It was time to test fit the body but first I had to toss on the bumper Jon Stone hooked me up with. Thanks bud. So far so good. Then I realized its a little hard to start test fitting the body without the motor and trans in. Time for the heart of the beast MMP and a 2300KV Tekin ROC412 Days go by waiting for some parts to arrive..........Then I get a message for Josh AKAV8ion of just a pic I almost hit the floor. The beast winch for this beast build was in! Time to start fabing up locations.........or so I thought. I still needed my servo to chassis mount it first. What is this a find but a care package from the one and only AsiaTees! Oh how I like getting stuff in the mail as long as its not a bill! mmmmmmmmmmmm 420oz servo at 7.4V, Scale coke bottles and more oh my! first up was the rear chassis brace and shock mounts. This thing is nice. it fits great and feels pretty strong. After that had to toss a couple of these coke bottles in the rear cup holders. They will look perfect there.. Hey all.........time for an update. Been busy with the new addition to the family so have not had time for any work. Got a little done recently. I installed my new CYS-BLS9130L Miscellaneous All Aluminium Cooling Shell Brushless Motor Metal Gear Servo (7.4v) 0.11sec/30kg.cm CYS CYS-BLS9130L The specs on the are pretty nice. All titanium gears. Specifications: Dimensions:40x20x41.4mm Operating Voltage:6.0-7.4V Operating Speed(6.0V):0.14sec/60° Operating Speed(7.4V):0.11sec/60° Stall Torque(6.0V):26kg. Stall Torque(7.4V):30kg. Running Current(6.0V):120mA Running Current(7.4V):150mA Idle Current(6.0V):20mA Idle Current(7.4V):20mA Along side that I installed an amazing TZi Beefy Winch. This thing looks beast. Well enough chitchat on with the pics. A shot of the servo. I could not find a twin servo mount that would work so it was time to build my own. All bent and mounted. Both servos installed. Biggest issue was having the servo horn go over the winch. And a nice under shot. Now to make the panhard mount on the frame and the front will be all done. |
