| a little motor clearance problem
So I ran into a little issue. I'm running a mabuchi and the cans are a little long. Right where the top link attaches to the chassis is where the back of the can stops. I cannot run bigger than a 14 tooth bc the motor hits the link. Any ideas? |

It looks like there is plenty of clearance. You can run any size pinion you want. You just need to run the appropriate size spur to accommodate it.

The obvious choice would be to get a different motor. If you are just trying to get more wheelspeed, try adjusting the spur gear size as well. You can go all the way down to about 80/20 and still maintain maximum clearance on the chassis side.
