Be careful with "lifting" the suspension on these, you'll create a higher center of gravity, more extreme drive shaft angles and having more flex is not necessarily a good thing. If you're wanting to go to 2.2's you'll have to cut the Honcho fenders a bit and probably raise the body posts. Trying to get more flex and go 2.2's can make it rub really bad and overflexing will just get you stuck in things that you'd normally want to carry a tire over.

You can try one of those lift/drop kits off flea-bay $12-$15, it will give you some incremental options but I agree that you will need to cut your wheel arches to fit the 2.2

I'd grab the gearhead lift kit. It's multi position. I use one on my rig, but more for shock relocation to get the truck to sit lower without losing suspension travel. You can easily step up to a 100mm shock on a Honcho and maintain a very stock ride height with these. I was even able to run 110mm, albeit a tad high for my tastes. This way you can get more flex with a lower ride height. Adjust them to fit the 2.2's, but as said above you will need to cut the fender.

I love how you think that your comment would be the end of the thread, lol. Like that's the only option there is. Granted, its probably a good tip but I'm certain its no thread ender...

My suggestion in no way shape or form was "probably a good one". As a matter of undisputable fact its easily one of the top 50 dumbest ideas on this site right behind lifting a honcho.

Oh man, I wish I were so wise as you. Maybe some day...

On second though, nah, apparently that wisdom comes with the burden of being an a$$hole.

Instead of posting something that was vaguely sarcastic, you could have stated your opinion on the cons of lifting a Honcho. I have a minimal lift on my Honcho to clear the fenders from rubbing on full compression so I didn't have to hack the fenders up on a new body. There are numerous reasons to do such a thing.

Careful... your user name is showing

Weighted wheels and 1.9 Pitbulls will take you just about anywhere you want to go without body mods . But it's your rig, so run what you like.

No. It is a great answer! I mean, there's a search function for a reason, of course were going to make smart-ass posts on something that has been answered thousands of times.

Being an asshole isn't a burden at all. Its a mother fawking gift from my lord and savior Cthulhu himself. All hail Cthulhu.

Cut the fenders and lower the suspension and you'll actually have something that doesn't flop over on 15* sidehills. There, is that better?
