Default She studders and stops. Assistance required!

So I've done a handful of mods to my lovely truck here and somewhere in the middle I done goofed good. Could use advice and help to figure out what went wrong where if anyone knows about my issue.

On a fresh new pack the truck runs fantastic, after a minute or three it studders like it's signifigantly low on battery power, give it a little less throttle and it runs good for a few seconds then it's bad. give it hardly any throttle and it runs fine for a minute or two and studders.
its got a sever Jerk jerk jerk jerk issue.

The lights twitch with the motor motion so I think it has to do with my Receiver not getting consistent power.

It has done this WITH a Ubec, and without.

it's also done this on both a 6 and 7 cell Nimh pack (Lipo cut-off is OFF)

things that changed since it last ran good:

1.(don't cringe) I liquid electrical tapped the reciever, seen it done quite a few times and it all worked for them. it sat for over a week before i ran it again so I know it was all dried by then.

2. Installed (then removed) a Ubec.

3. installed a Traxxas style battery connector. (issue occured with my old Tamiya style connecter as well, so I eliminated it as a possibility.)

Nothing is warm to the touch, so I don't think heat is an issue, and the ESC does go through all the binding steps and programming just fine.

but I can't take my rig out when I can't drive it!

Any tips or advice here?

EDIT: added video
Video of the issue, pardon my AWEFUL video skills but there isn't too much to see.

how many lights are you running and are they connected to your main battery or are they run off of a separate power supply

Are you running the stock ESC that comes with the Axial scx-10 and wraiths? I had an issue similar to yours and it turned out that the stock switch was broken and dying so it would studder.

the stock lights that came with the Dingo Truck, and the stock AE-2 speed controller that comes with the RtR. lights are powered through the receiver as it come stock.

I'm guessing esc or receiver issues if you have a local club you could swap parts with known good parts and find the issue that way

I used a throw away crappy ESC I had sitting around (one with severe neutral position issues) and the stuttering issues appear to stop. (course the truck also does not stop when neutral isnt set right!)

SO this tells me it's my AE-2 Speed controller that's having the issue. D: any tips?

I'm not familiar with the axial ESC but does it have an on/off switch?

I've had issues with with those switches on other ESCs and eliminating the switch has gotten rid of the problems.

Sigh, one step forward, and 3 steps back. Soldered the tabs for the switch together so I can remove it all together,

now the esc beeps in an unusual pattern, refuses to bind, and causes my servo to twitch erratically.

I think I fried it.

I got a GTB2 laying around, maybe I'll try brushless, since I do more trail driving than crawling anyways.

Unless someone knows of this issue too and a way to fix it! ):
