Default Problem with scx10

I think its my slipper clutch but I'm not sure. When I drive it seems like it is just slipping and not putting the power to the wheels. Do I need a metal gear?

Tighten the nut on the spur shaft down to tighten up the slipper, see if it improves. A metal gear wont help.

Take the lid off, hold the rear tire, give it some throttle and watch. Do the drivelines spin? Is there much resistance on the tire? Is the slipper still slipping? Is the mesh between the spur and pinion too little causing poor engagement?

Okay I believe my teeth on the plastic slipper is worn down. I can see the difference in the size.
