Default Faster SCX10??

HI.

My Scx10 currently runs a Tekin FSR 35T combo. Its a nice setup but I think I would enjoy my truck more if it were faster. I'm not talking fast like a Slash or other SC truck, just faster than it is now. Any suggestions a motor/esc combo that might suit my needs? Any input would be appreciated.

I run a 2900kv system out of an exo and love it! 2s it is fun but kick it up to 3s and throw some turf

Honestly run 3s and c how u like it and maybe a bigger pinion that setup really comes alive on 3s I had a 45t combo and it was a huge difference from 2s to 3s

Ssdub33 is right!! Run it on 3s and play with your gearing and you will notice a big difference, and if that's not enough then start looking at brushless. But remember there is lots to change when you go brushless, I would just throw a 3s in there and see how you like it. IMO

Have you given any thought to a two speed transmission? Many of the guys I run with have either the axial or the traxxas and run with something like a 27t. In first it is smooth and steady enough to crawl over anything and in 2nd it has enough power to do donuts.

Would be helpful to mention what batteries you currently run, and gearing.. (stock?)

Default Faster SCX10??

Fxr pro with dewalt motor on 3s in my honcho , great speed and good crawling 17/87gear

Not to mention these motors take a beating , lots of torc ... And for like $18 they cheap, if you run in a lot of water I highly recommend the dewalt ! Can run on 2s but MUCH better on 3s!

What I didn't like about going fast in my rubicon was flipping over if I turned too hard. Took a bit of a learning curve compared to independent suspension.
