Default Help with 4 wheel drive

So I purchased this vehicle used and it has a switch to take from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive... uses a servo to take in and out...

Long story short I took the horn off to grease the servo and cannot get it lined back up to save my life...

Soo.. how do I just make it all time 4 wheel drive? I pushed the shaft in and locked it into 4 wheel by hand but it can shake or slide out... how can I just lock it in there?

If you can't tell I'm totally new.. here are a few pics

I think the nomenclature for that is: Dig gear box

it should be that the 3rd channel of the TX
shifts the servo horn to engage or disengage the Dig unit.

so... I'll assume the input shaft on the dig is either shifted in or out.

shift it by hand and see when the engagement occurs
then set your servo to move the appropriate distance
to match the movement needed.

You do have a 3 channel TX with it right ?
if yes... the EPA will control the amount of throw the TX sends.

There should be no servo noise whence engaged or disengaged.
so fine tune the servo throw so that it is not over/under engaging
when the servo shifts the dig unit.

I don't know if any of this makes sense to you...
if you're not familiar with a dig unit...

So maybe do a little google research...
and look up "RC crawler Dig" or use key words containing "RC Dig"
it would be best if you could determine what unit you have.

Maybe someone here knows... but I do not.

Learn by doing, that's the only way!

Best thing to do would be take that shift system off if you just want full-time 4WD.

If you just want to leave it in 4wd without messing with it, put the horn back on the servo and push the linkage all the way in. Leave the servo unhooked and it should stay in 4wd. You could add a zip tie for security. At some point you will want to learn how everything works but that would get you back on the trail for now.

get the assembly instructions from Axialracing.com, take it apart, and put it back together using the diagrams. Don't be scared, we're here to help ya.

There isn't much in there that you can get wrong - you'll be fine.

ship it to me, I'll set it to stock configuration or fix it so it works like it is suppose to with the current components.....at no charge. You'll just have to pay shipping. BUT, I'm sure there are plenty of folks near you that will be MORE than willing to meet up and help you.

Welcome to the addiction!!!

Be forewarned - I can not guarantee that you will or will not get those wheels back if you ship it here for repairs....LOL!
