Default EarthRoamer. Brainstorming please.

I have another thread about my scx10 going.. But I think this is more than unique enough to warrant its own. I have a rear roll cage and deck but I was thinking that with some parts from that and some decent effort I could make something like this...

This is called an EarthRoamer. Essentially a heavy duty RV. Since I am getting the F250 cab from pro line.. I figured it is probably do able. I'm not trying to make it so it has an interior or anything but just for show on the outside.
My question to you is.. If you were to tackle this, how would you fabricate it?
My ideas so far are..
-aluminum sheet. (I have access to a cutter and Bender.)
-plastic pieces.
-flat lexan and modified cage parts to make the shell.

Something light weight too.. Definitely do not want to be using 2 pounds of wood.

If I can figure out a good way to make it.. It's going to happen and I'll have a build thread going as I work on it.

I'm good with computer software and stuff like that so don't be afraid to go down that route too with suggestions.

As in the white stuff that comes in boxes for protection? I'd rather something a bit more durable and smooth. But it might come in handy for certain sections.

Found an extreme build thread though... Way over the top for me.
What kind of foam to use? http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28869

No styrene is a type of plastic that they use for making models. I think you were thinking of Styrofoam. You can get styrene in all shapes and sizes. They sell it in some hobby stores or on eBay

Or build a composite, fiberglass coated foam, think blue foam insulation, with fiberglass over it.

Would it be strong enough to be screwed down and thaw the occasional tip over?
Any special glue?
