Awesome looking truck. Can I ask what are you using to hold the bed sides and the cab on? I'm getting ready to start my clod body build but couldn't figure out what to use to mount bed sides

I just welded some tabs and through bolted it together. The cab I just welded some nuts to the boat sides and bolted that as well. I can get you more pics of needed

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I think I'm gonna switch out the axles to some black plastics and use the OCP axles on a different build

Guess I never really thought about just bolting the cab and bed on. Thanks.

Is this still considered a class 2 truck or is it a class 3?

2.2 wheels would put it in class 3
Curious as to your wheel base and track width too...

Really nice truck Adam

Okay sorry guys been kinda busy with work. So after reading the sorrca rules sounds like my truck leans more to class 3. My tires are wider than the cab but not by much. On another note my wheel base is set at 12 3/4" and the track width is at 10" from outside to outside of the tires

What did you end up using to cut your body? I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it? Your truck has given me some inspiration for mine.

So I used my dremel took and a steady hand. I even used the dremel to sand it but make sure you sand on a low speed or you will burn up the plastic. The thread method was too slow for me lol. Let me know what you come up with

Did you just use a normal cut off wheel on the dremel? That's what I was thinking of using

Yes I did. If you plan on pinching the front cut out along the gender and then triangulate towards the center of the hood

This is a sweet build! I'm just starting my first scx project and I'm wanting to go with the clod body. Do you have any pics of the body cut before you glues it back together?
