Default 32P pinion/spur choice

Hello,
I am going to be running 36/14 and 43/13 gear set, HH 35T TMpro motor.
I have a 32p 60/9t pinion & spur and 54/14 what combo would be best for crawling while keeping cool temps?
Thanks

Divide 60 by 9 and 54 by 14 and your question is answered.

the 60/9 combo would be best unless you are superstitious or overly religious as it is 6.66:1 lol

the 54/14 combo is 3.85:1 which is horrible for crawling and motor temps....

You could be if you were willing to listen and learn. The acquisition of knowledge is not something you should fear.

Why is it 60/9 or 54/14? Go for 54/9 or, even better, spend the $3 and get a 10 or 11T pinion.

You must be running the stock driveshafts because 54t is the biggest I can get on mine with mips.

So I lied!

After putting a slipper eliminator on the spur is now much closer to the motor plate. I have a 56t on now. Could probably go bigger.

I did have to space the motor back a couple mm's so that the pinion screw didn't contact the spur.

The mesh on 54/9 is iffy when pushed in as far as it will go. 10 for sure.

Running 54/11 Im really liking this combo, good for crawling and motor and esc are cool to the touch.
I do have a 10t but yet to try it.

Was running at 54/14!!!! No wonder I couldn't crawl! Not sure why axial has you starting at 20/87 or higher as a guide for a trail truck.

I posted a couple of gear reference charts in the Wraith section, they cover 32 pitch pinions from 6-20 and spurs from 51-66, 48 pitch pinions from 10-35 and spurs from 73-96.

Gearing chart
