Default All I want is a bent steering rod

That's all I want. A single, curved rod that will work with my sons AX90034 G6 Recon. Steering angle is limited by the current, straight, rod hitting the pumpkin so I've set the travel limit on the Tx to prevent this.

The Jeep already has a ton of upgrade parts so I'm not looking to switch to a new steering setup entirely. Using the Axial aluminum chubs, knuckles and servo horn and Axial CVD's.

Is there such a rod on the market?

Or get the rc4wd Gelande 2 steering link (104.5mm) combined with traxxas 1942 rod ends. That fit perfectly. Thats what I have on my truck.

Also i have the hot racing high clearance knuckles. It gives pretty good steering angle.

I was getting weird contact in my steering as well. threw the titanium rod in the vise and carefully tweaked it to my needs. worked like a charm... just know that titanium, unlike steel or aluminum is very strong and will snap like a twig if you put too much pressure on it so be careful.

Just use the offset "P shaped" rod ends from axial. They are included in the axial linkage set. Axial Linkage Set They push the link forward away from the pumpkin so that steering travel is not limited.

That still did not work for me as the knuckle hits the axle and limits the turning angle. Thats why i switched to high clearance knuckles and bent steering link from gelande 2.

I use the very same Gelande 2 steering link...

although I needed add some shims between the link end(s)
and ball end(s) to reduce the toe in effect.
But that could vary depending on what length ball ends are utilized.

Wish I could find an upper for the servo link of the same diameter...
as this thinner diameter looks more to scale IMO.
But I don't think the one from the Gelande 2 fits correctly
or altering it to work was too difficult !? ( I forget )

Mine has been beaten on hard... straightened out a few times...
But hasn't failed otherwise.

I also have a new spare Gelande 2 link.
Just in case the next straightening process causes a break !? Lol

Ran my truck with the new gelande 2 bent link today. Although i did gain more steering drive wasnt smooth. Turns out the stock axle shafts are a problem. The dog bone style creates flaky movement. Time to look for some CVD or XVD. Any suggestions folks!
