Default Timing, Ballistic 21.5

I'm bored enough that I've decided to steal the motor/esc from my wife's truck for my own. It's a Novak Goat system, with a Ballistic 21.5 Crawler motor. I noticed the KV on this thing is super low. I'm geared for a little more slow than go and my rig is pretty light. How much timing can one of these things take before they pop?

I'm trying to figure this out before I finish installation. Setting the timing will be a swine once it's in.

It's kinda roughly installed now, with 15* timing and 19/54 32p gears (seems awfully tall now I think about.) wheel speed is decent but the ESC gets pretty hot just creeping around on the carpet. I'm only running in 2s mode. Should be pretty tame on the electronics.

You realize that a 2.8 gear ratio right? That's pretty high. Try a smaller pinion

Yeah. That's pretty high. I'll back it down and try to get wheel speed back through timing. I'm wondering also if it's possible I've got a bad sensor cable. Motor is jittery on startup.
