| Totally Noob Crawler
Hello guys........I just got an early present from my wife. Growing up I have been wanting to get myself an RC. Fast forward today I finally got one. Im totally a newbie in RC in general so I have a lot to learn from this forum. So far the upgrades I did: Aluminum links and steering Servo Horn Front battery relocation Future upgrades: Pitbull tires Axial beadlocks C-hub & knucles The rest I will upgrade as they break along the way. |

Not having inner fenders doesn't make you a noob. I personally don't care about inner fenders

the wheel wells are just for extra detail, maybe will keep some mud, water and dirt off of your electronics too. I broke the plastic chubs pretty quickly I'd make that my next move just to avoid downtime. You are on the right track so far imo.

ok, I just ordered the pitbull rockbeast 1.9 tires and axial beadlocks. which CI foams should you guys recommend. I mostly do trails/hills and some rock crawling. is the stock foam that came with it suffice enough? on CI website they have this single stage closed cell specifically for pitbulls but recommended for rigs that is 8 lbs heavier (my rig is about less than 5-6 lbs).

I personally don't care... that you don't care Quote:
Keeps the tire's dirt, mud and water kick up from landing on top of your chassis. If one doesn't care about the scale appearance/aspect... that's their call. But why purchase/operate a scale rig... if a scale visual is not of interest ? I don't generally like the full chassis tray additions tho' reason being... it just turns the chassis into a dirt/mud shelf. Not generally a jeeper hoe... (tho' I am building a 1/6 scale TJ) but I'd add them to any SCX-10 chassis platform that I own. Not difficult... and it costs little-nothing to do if plastic dehli cups or other left over food container's/waste are utilized. recycling should be everyone's responsibility and goal they can easily be mounted to the outer shock upright surface, between those and the shock with just a screw (or two) and some double sided tape on the frame if wanting a more precise seal. I prefer the softer more pliable plastics... but some use the stiffer tupperware containers. Cutting them in half and painting them is the only real effort involved. Not a difficult thing by any means. ie: Honcho frnt inner fenders. (rears aren't needed on a Honcho) body removed... | ||
