| Need advice on some wheels
Hi all, Looking into some beadlocks for the Deadbolt. I have looked at some from RC4wd and the Axial eight hole beadlocks. Can anyone give me any insight to the performance of these choices? The RC4wd wheels are the Pro 10 steel Wheels form RPP. Thanks Scott |

Look into the SSD D-hole 1.9", I've got RC4WD wheels on a Dingo and like them just fine. What I didn't like was the hex nuts on the face of the wheels, socket screws from the back and the pin drive center hub. SSD wheels use the 12mm hex hub and socket screws from the front threaded into the center hub (no hex nuts). If these things don't bother you then the RC4WD wheels will be fine as they're well made steel wheels. The SSD wheels are available at RPP for just $10 more than the RC4WD. I like my Axial 1.9 BL's so much... I want a 2.2 8-hole set for my 1/6 scale build. I've run them for over two years on my T Honcho and have installed more then a few different tires on them. Screws hold fine as long as they're not over turned. The bead locks seal fine with most tires I've used ( I don't vent ) The hex hubs have never rounded out. Only thing I'd change... is the bead lock rings. Would prefer steel over aluminum. Tho' the aluminum rings have held up just fine. |

Axial 8's have many ring options stock(any color),lurc,MThead, gearhead, etc plus scale hardware! The only bad imo is the offset where you may be running VP hi steer knuckles there could be clearance issues. All tires mount with ease!!! Rc4wd wheels as mentioned have offset options, non beadlock look & steelies look cool rusted up but beware some tires are pita or impossible to mount even with the vp omf or proline internal rings. I would also check out Duuuuude on here & look at his custom delrin wheels with any ring bolt pattern so options are unlimited! |

I think the SSD's would be a good choice, I like the added weight of the steel wheels.

Thanks for all the replies. I like the Axial wheels, as well as the RC4wd steel wagon wheels. The SSD-RCs are nice, but I'm wanting inexpensive. Is there any problem with the pin mount as apposed to the 12mm hex? Does it effect the offset at all? Again, thanks! Scott |

Offset would be the same unless you choose different offset hubs. Hex is better as if the wheels comes loose you have less chance of loosing the pin. |

Bought my RC4wd wheels from the RPP salvage yard. Be sure to buy hex hubs. Hubs are often out of stock. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk Last edited by scaled; 07-28-2015 at 09:57 PM. |
