I am going to put a dinky cantilever setup in the rear so I can put a flatbed on this wroncho...

Looks good, I just finished my wroncho. I used a wraith center section because it made the links much easier. The wheel base I like was 13 5/8.

My wheelbase is at 12 inches right now...this chassis made using the scx10 skid easy...so I used it...i do have a wraith skid if this doesn't work out like I plan, but I am confident it will I may increase the wheelbase if it doesn't perform well when I run it.. | |

What chassis dat be? Hoe Made? *edit* nvm, just saw was made by another member, I usually just skip over the comments and go straight towards the parts list and build pics. Keep up the great work! Last edited by DrewHammer; 08-19-2015 at 09:07 PM. |

well I put the RB II's on and am debating if I will go with something this large or go down to the 2.2 TSL's(not the XL version)

Yeah, RBIIs are huge. They're great for the width of the AR60 but maybe not for the short wheel base of your Wroncho. It'll go anywhere with that setup! The wheel and tire combo looks awesome.

With those tires increase your wheel base and see if you like that look? Also play with your upper shock mounting point and lower your ride height. I like 30% up travel and 70% down travel. It just depends on what you like, I used IROKS and they are even taller but it's the look I wanted.

I got my parts in and got it running right before we left for vacation, so I brought it with me, but its been raining the last 2 days and I haven't been able to run it. I did run it for a few minutes at home on my woodpile test track and it far exceeded my expectations..climbed a rock in the neighbors yard without so much as a grunt, a rock that some of my other rigs had trouble with... I think for now, I will leave it as is and wait for my dinky cantilever setup to arrive. I will make a flatbed when that happens and take this to another level for me |

well I got the dinky cantilever kit and its not going to be anywhere near enough travel for this rig, so I will probably build the flatbed around the shock hoops and shocks... all is not lost though as I have another project the dinky setup may work for....

well, I finished my prototype wood flatbed. I am positive it will undergo many revisions in the future. I dont think it turned out too bad for a first attempt...I used E6000 to glue it together and glue the aluminum bars to the underside of the wood bed..

Digging the bed! Those frame rails look like the secret to a successful Wronho build. I used SCX10 rails and the Wraith skid......still worked out, but yours look like the ticket!

Thanks! I added sides and a front to the bed, I like it where its at now and probably will paint it and be done with it. I will see how long it will last and rebuild it as needed... I cut rectangular holes in the top of the bed to accept the stakes from the panels. It seems to be working out nicely

I really like that bed. A couple scale accessories would really set it off.
