Scx10 Warn winch help

G'day blokes.

Just received my used Axial scx10 which looks awesome. Came with Rc4wd beadlocks, interco super swampers, warn winch,proline shocks ect.

In regards to the winch, it didnt come with a controller. Is there anyway i can work this without having to spend $45 on the receiver and remote unit? Can i just hook up a toggle switch to a batter?

There are wireless winch controllers on the cheap that you can get from multiple places. I bought the yeah racing winch controller for around 20 bucks.

What kind of radio/reciever are you using?

Three channel radio will fix that problem

As mentioned above.....what transmitter are you using? If you have one that is 3-channel and have either a 2-position switch or 3-position switch for your 3rd channel, HeyOK makes a simple winch controller that will work great for you. Winch Controller for three position channel

Thanks guys, have the stock transmitter that comes with the honcho. Ax 2 i think and im pretty sure it only has 2 channels

Yep, that is a 2 channel controller....
Only solution is that (and you may not like it ), is getting an other controller with receiver. Check Asiatees. They may come cheaper then you think....

I read lots of complaints of the other wireless controllers failing.
My controller uses fairly heavy components to do the current switching to power the winch compared to what they use.
My wireless controller is basically one of these, with the wireless part added on.
