As one could guess by the title is have an odd setup. It started life as a Red cat everest 10 which was disassembled immediately after opening the box. Now it's more axial than anything else thus why I'm in this forum. Current setup: Axial HD lockers and axles Axial 27t motor Axial esc with drag brake Axial scx10 frame Stock wheels and tires. Weights & no foams. (2.2 Rok Lox comp tires on order) Everest shocks w/out springs. Will be adding internal springs. Proline jeep xj body Plans to come: Frame mounted servo and panhard Rear lock outs Rear bumper Fix everything that breaks... |

Do you happen to know what the stock motor is in turns ? How much faster is it with the 27t. I have a redcat I want a little more wheel speed it doesn't seem to have alot of play for spur and pinion gears Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Got the 2.2 tires in last night. They're huge. They don't fit perfectly on the oem wheels but they work for now. I'm going to have to change the body around to allow the rig to fully flex. I'm thinking of building a full cage and and cutting the body to dove the front and rear in for tire clearance and a truggy look but we'll see Also will be going to a frame mount cms Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk |

New tires rub a lot so I started to dove the nose and tail. Looks like hell now but have a lot to do before it's finished. I then installed my new c hubs and shaved the bumpstops off Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk |

Moved the lower links to the uppers and made new lowers. Stretched the rear axle all the way to the end of the frame. I still have some up travel left in the rear, what shocks is everyone using? I'm trying to decide if I want to switch back to a sprung suspension instead of a droop setup. Still need to finish the lower links Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk |

Great build, Was wondering how you like the Axial 27t? I know you had told me that you had wished you went with a 20t, is that still the case? Did you change the sprocket gear or any other gears? Also, do you like the Rok Lox tires? Would they work better with a narrower tire? Have you found away to improve the steering? Last edited by escrawler; 10-20-2015 at 12:56 PM. |

Tires are awesome, very sticky. I need to play with the center of gravity and position of weight on the chassis. If it's going up a steep incline the torque lifts the front tires off the ground. Going to have to go with aluminum knuckles for steering, I shaved the bumpstops but the plastic ends flex. I went to a 3 link front end and a panhard. It limits travel so I need to play with shock length and link lengths Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk | |

Got the frame servo mount on and 3 link. It needs some fine tuning. I feel as though I have ventured down the scale path enough now I should just go all the way. Stock everest shocks are too long. I have up travel I can take advantage of but the shocks are bottomed out. Relocated the battery but it need to sit higher as to not rub on the tires Sent from my SM-G920R4 using Tapatalk |
