Default Fu's SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 build

Only got into RC earlier this year and recently purchased my third RC, Axial SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 kit. This is the first kit I've purchased and wasn't sure if I was getting in over my head or not.

After a few weekends working on it I'm at the point where I'm just waiting on my beadlocks and lexan scissors so I can begin painting. Plan is to mask off and paint the interior black and the rest of the body blue. Going to be brush painting the body since I don't have anywhere with the damp weather now to spray it. Just hoping I can get the coat thick enough.

I've really enjoyed building this kit and hope to build another at sooner point. First though I plan to upgrade some of the key pieces of this kit and add some accessories.

Here is a Google Photo's album of my progress so far. https://goo.gl/photos/QjopjKZs32eSj6Po6

I have brushed a few bodies, when I first started in the hobby, the results are usually nice. The same principals apply though, multiple light coats until the paint is opaque. I currently spray paint the bodies in my home, back room, open windows, contained in a large cardboard box.

It hovers near 0 C here now and I don't think opening the windows is a good idea. I'll try brush painting this one. Worse case I buy a new body in the spring to spray.

New beadlocks showed up today. Got them all mounted and installed.

Up next, paint the body.

Picked up a used Honcho body so I can use the truck while I work on painting the G6 body. Just need to get s spare tire for the rear.
