Default OD/UD gearing preference

I'm looking for a little more wheel speed on the front of my scx10 to help with climbing. Wondering what you would suggest. Over-drive the front axle 36/14 rear 38/13 or under-drive the rear 43/13 front 38/13.
Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

(In what fashion is my rear suspension setup going to effect my choice)

Thanks,
Neil

There's got to be two dozen threads about the exact same subject. It's a preference and based how the rear suspension is set up.

The UD gears are said to have the best mesh pattern, you also reduce torque twist by increasing the gear reduction in the axle.

I run OD front and stock rear. Yea the OD isnt as strong but it has held up fine in my brushed wraith that is pretty much a dedicated crawler anyway. I guess it depends on how hard you are on rigs and what kinda power/weight you are dealing with

Got a set of OD in my rig, I like it. If that was the "best" one to do, I don't know, but the OD works.
