Default rear battery

Ok ladies and gentleman , I know we want as much weight as far forward as possible . But what if due to trans position and links you couldn't do that ? where would you run the battery (side mount or rear ) could you still keep the front end down using beef tubes and weighted wheels .

I use two 2200 mah 3S batteries wired in parallel with a Roc 412 3100KV.
I am getting around a 45 minute run on the trails with it.

I am using the R2J sliders which have a solid plate so it is easy to mount a battery on each side. Better overall weight distribution for crawling up and down the hills.

I run dual 2200 mah 3s wired parallel.

with those mounted atop the original sliders.

tools/materials utilized:

...1/8" lexan sheet stock
...quality hobby grade heat gun (to bend lexan)
...common vise (to bend lexan)
...drill press with drill/chamfer bit for the holes.
...slightly longer 3mm screws with nylock nuts at the bottom to secure.
...parallel wiring harness (if wanting to combine mah capacity)*

* you don't have to run a parallel harness and combine both batteries
you can deplete them individually.
But it's a hassle to have to switch batteries.
Both need be on board tho'
so as to off set each other in weight.

Dual batteries need be the same ratings.
A 5000 mah 2s is generally too long ( heavy too )
to mount atop the sliders.

^ purdy simple to do... without spending too much coin.

\

or...

you could get more elaborate and make your own sliders
