| Building a custom SCX10
Now that I'm finally happy with my Wraith (not finished but happy) I've decided to semi replicate my first vehicle, a 72 Chevy C10. I'm thinking of buying the Dingo Kit, installing my holmes hobbies setup, swapping the body, chassis rails (Crawl Space Aluminum rails)... I'm looking for thoughts on the trade offs of going with the kit as opposed to building it 100% from scratch. To get the kit up and running I will only have to buy a receiver and probably a better ESC. On the axle front I love the looks of the VP F9s but I haven't seen nor heard if there is a skid like the one SSD makes for the diamond, anyone know if there is a skid plate for these beautiful axles? I have the frame rails and whatever I decide I will try to document the build here. |

the kit comes with a better suspension and other odds and ends you dont get in the rtr an you will be putting in the time to disassemble most of it to look the way you want so why not build from scratch o had bought the kit and i honestly think its the only way to go for any build rtr is if you want to take it out ass soon as you get it to get use out of it immediately
