Default Ae 2 esc

Can I use a 7 cell 8.4 volt? I've heard people trying 3s 11.1 volts, but I don't want to cause any damage. Info on these Axials SUX!!! Was told to go to Axial.com/instructions on how to change Lipo mode but that info is NOT there. Only how to manually change things without a program card!?!?!??!

If search for AE2 and Castle Link you will find several posts.

The short version:
1) Connect Castle Link to the AE2 as per the Castle Link instructions.

2) Set Cutoff Voltage to No Cutoff

3) Save Settings to the ESC.

I run the Ae2 and can't remember how to manual switch without a card or usb kit but you can do it. Google is your friend. With that, it won't harm the esc regardless of voltage cutoff setting. If it's set on Lipo your battery run time will just be really short.

You just have to look in the right place
http://docs.axialracing.com/instruct...e_AE-2_ESC.pdf

6 Cell nihm (7.4v) or 2s Lipo is what the AE 2 is rated for. So no a 7 cell (8.4v) or 3s wouldn't be recommended.

Ditto... I run 3S on 3 different rigs all with AE-2 ESC's, never had any issues.
