| Derlin Or SS Links
Picked Up a couple Dead Bolts for me and the boys. When its upgrade time I will be doing links first. I want Pre made links, Should I go derlin or ss? I used Derlin on my shafty comp truck and never had a problem.

I use stainless on mine, but I don't really see a problem with either.

Delrin bends and loses its shape which eventually leads to a replacement. Plus with delrin you have to use set screws for the link ends. With the SS you will have threaded ends to attach the rod ends and you wont have the flex or bending of Delrin. |

I vote for Ti links. Al or SS would be alright too I guess. My reason is I run metal links and they work and I don't want to try other materials as they seem to perform well. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Can't see a noticeable gain in performance with either in my mind though. Metal will last longer.

I would use either Ti or SS links. Aluminum will not slid over the rocks as well as Ti or SS. This is due to the rocks gouging the links causing the rig to hang up.

Titanium for tops and SS or chromolly for lowers is my typical route taken |

I've got the Axial link upgrade kit. Haven't put it on yet because the stock links are still going. But I'm almost afraid to because I don't want to get them all scratched up. I was thinking of cover them with clear heatshrink tubing but I should probably just learn to live with the fact that the SCX10 is not a shelf queen and going to take a beating.

I make mine out of delrin cheap and easy and I can chose the wheelbase. They will flex a small amount and that keeps you from breaking something.
