Default Battery relocate?

I was hoping some of you could post up your diy or purchased battery relocation setup for side to side in front of trans. I have a few ideas but want some input from you all. What do you like/hate about this placement? Thanks

My favourite spot...

On the scx10 I just bent a hunk of 1/8"aluminum drilled a couple holes and bolted it on.

Jevne Racing Plate. It's a little pricey but worth it.

JMO - alternative

...the COG could still be lower
...interferes with my inner fender well positioning
...tho' a smaller mah battery fits fine... a 5000mah width isn't as swell
...I'd rather mount my battery(s) utilizing a lower COG

stock slider's / Dual 3s 2100mah LiPo's wired parallel (4200mah)

homebrew sliders... same deal

The driver's side lexan saddle mount needed be 180*
so as to shift it forward/equally with the pass. side.
Placing the saddle mounts slightly forward, biases the weight towards the front of the chassis.

The 2100 -2200mah LiPo's profile need be short enough
to allow for my Dinky interior fitment.

and my 3s 2200mah LiPo's just barely clear

tho' maybe a lower profile... I don't utilize 2s.

all my e components are mounted up front,
where the forward battery plate would mount.
winch, controller, BEC, ESC, etc.

Default Battery relocate?

I make 2 versions for the SCX10.

Side by side which double as a floor and work with my front & rear fenders.

And a front mount that uses the stock tray but relocates it across the chassis.

I agree 100% with Truckmechanic. I have this in both of my SCX10's and couldn't be happier with them.

I use the Knight Customs mount that places it crossways just behind the front tires and I really like that location. Seems to put the weight forward just right to help the front tires maintain traction at steeper angles.

Thanks everyone. You have helped a lot and now I have to decide Whats going to work best for me. I had though about putting the batteries on the sliders but was trying to keep the weight down. Has anyone used the 3 piece kit offered on ebay that basically skins the entire frame and over the sliders, has the cms mount and battery mount built into it?
