Full Build Deadbolt or 2 vehicles with reliability Upgrades

So I am struggling to decide. I have the funds to fully Build up the Deadbolt for Class 2 or Get a second vehicle (Wraith or something) and do some basic reliability upgrades to each. And then upgrade as I break stuff.

I vote full build up. Use the pieces being replaced to build a budget scaler.

If you want to START a Class 2 build, buy an SCX10 II and do a few basic mods to it and it will be about as good or better than a heavily modified SCX10. The steering is excellent, ground clearance is excellent, weight bias stock is good but if you like it more front heavy you can flip the trans or put in an OG SCX trans. The CMS geometry is great, it has HD gears in the axles and the kit already has metal trans gears.

My "Deadbolt" is completely aftermarket (except trans case and driveshafts) and while it outperforms my mildly modified II, the performance gap will be easy to close and in the end it will be MUCH cheaper than my ground up build. I'm running stock tires and foams on my II.

Thanks for the info. I think I decided to get a second vehicle (Bomber or Wraith) and will do a couple basic upgrades on each (Servo, Free Mods) and then just upgrade each as they break or just feel like upgrading. This will allow friends and family to come out and play also. and also have something to run if the other breaks while waiting on parts.
