| Rear four link questions
I installed the factory 4link bracket on my Dingo today and I tried changing the links but the pinion angle is way off and the wheelbase isn't correct either. I tried to look at Axial.com but that wasn't any help so is there a kit from Axial that has the correct links for the 4link bracket?

I put the Axial link kit on my Deadbolt and it threw the pinion angles off, I had to put spacers in the top links to fix the pinion angles front and rear. Not sure if that helps your case or not but its worth looking at.

I have the original scx10 kit but the Dingo body fits the wheels base perfect. I'll check and see if a 6mm spacer I have in the parts bin gets me close, if not anyone know the right length links to order?

98mm up top got me the angle I wanted on my Deadbolt, similar to high pinion axels.

So I'm safe to assume there is no factory link available that gets you the correct wheelbase and pinion angle? Wasn't looking forward to cutting drilling and taping links but it looks like I'll have too

I bought the Axial link set for my deadbolt and everything bolted up just fine. No binding no nothing. drive shaft angles stayed the same and all

I wasn't happy with any of the SCX10 stock link lengths in regards to pinion angle. They always seem to hang the driveshafts too low. I recently did custom upper links on my son's SCX10, and it's WAY better. Much more clearance, much smoother driveline. The front can flex farther before the steering link hits the chassis rail now also. REALLY happy with the results. The SCX10 II kit was great. Looks like they have learned something over the years lol. Last edited by 1967Typhoon; 08-21-2016 at 04:14 PM. |
