Are MIP pins stronger than the WB pins?

I have some WB driveshafts in a 12.3" SCX10.1 Jeep Wrangler and they have taken nigh on 8 months abuse with most on 3S...countless miles of driving.

A pin snapped of late and another started clicking today virtually worn through. The driveshafts themselves are pretty robust but the silly pins are a weak point.

I can get a full set of 12.3" MIPs for about $100. I know the shafts are bulletproof as they are steel but how often do you need to replace the pins? Being heavier and steel do they wear them out fast or do they last forever?

I had MIP's some time ago and the pins were super strong, no signs of wear whatsoever:

Ordered a set of 12.3" MIPS as it was just too hard to get the WB8 HD kit here affordably without a 3 week wait. The difference was then only $20 so I figured I may as well go MIP. Buying the Axial WB HD bits seperately was really expensive and clearly not worth it.
