| What initial upgrades
OK so I am having surgery and will be out of work for 2 months. I have convinced my wife that I need upgrades to my scx10, to keep from going crazy. So my question is what initial upgrades would you all suggest? Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

Good luck with the surgery! Do you have a RTR or a kit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

High torque steering servo, aluminum, stainless steel or titanium suspension links with beefy metal ball rod ends.Pick your budget with the links.Metal steering links as well.As for electronics I would choose a 35t brushed motor setup with a hobbywing 1080 esc.Tires will vary with your terrain you run on.Lots of opinions on shocks too.Thats another category of how much you want to spend.Lightweight lexan truck body of your choosing also. That's not a lot of money to dramatically improve the performance of the scx10 Keep us posted on your progress. |

Its second hand so don't know if it was a kit or rtr ... I know I'll have to upgrade links since it uses the wishbone. I also know it has a 12" wheelbase Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |

When I upgraded my SCX10 I installed a forward battery mount. The battery sits lower and forward of the stock position. It sits just behind the front wheels. This modification helps the handling in a big way. I'd think about some better tires too. There are a lot of options out there! |

my first change was the ESC. I installed a castle sidewinder 3 ESC to enable much slower crawling speeds. it is easy to program the throttle response to your liking. Second was a BEC, to low more power to the servo. I installed the Castle 10A blue BEC. then, tires, I put the Hydrax tires on, I think that they grip much better than the stock tires. ...the list can go on and on,.... |
