What's some decent shocks that fit the scx10? Looking for something better than stock, but not trying to break the bank too bad in this area. I have seen where some people were using some cheaper shocks and really liked them, just cant remember what they were. What have you guys tried or are using?

I really like the gmade shocks, pretty much all of them! You want about 90mm for a scx10. I think gmade are about half as much as the Proline which are top drawer Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk |

I run the Traxxas TRX-4 GTS shocks on three of my trucks. They are super smooth and do not leak. I found them on eBay for under $50 for 4 shocks. Brand new take offs.

I have proline powerstroke and they're great. But I really like the aluminium version of the stock axial. I don't understand why people don't like them. Axial has a variety of springs for dual spring setup and you can tune it like you want. I changed the old stock 'super soft/medium' to 'soft/firm' and it works great for my heavy rig. I’ve used the proline in the past and liked them I’m thinking about getting a set of gmade shocks since I’ve heard such great things about them.

I have been using the hot racing internal with a little green slime on the o rings combo of med front and soft rear springs, works butter smooth top to bottom. i find they have decent down travel setup this way not sprung too much. thanks |

I’ve switched to the Traxxas shocks on 2 of my 3 SCXs. The 1st one is running TRX-4 bodies with Axial springs, while the 2nd one is running TRX-4 bodies with the dual stage springs from the HPI Venture. The 3rd has HPI Venture shocks with TRX-4 springs. I went with the Traxxas shocks mainly for their “no leak” reputation. I’m trying the HPIs simply out of their pricing. Depending on their durability, the HPIs might be the best bang to buck ratio. Picked up a full, removed from new kit, set for $20 on fleabay. MSRP is around the $60 mark!

I've always liked the Traxxas Big bore shocks in aluminum rears as used in the rustler/slash on both ends, also use light oil (associated) 3 hole piston spring your choice. They are really smooth once broken in.
