Got another Silverado cab trimmed and mocked up. Not sure yet if I'll run this body or a not. I have a vaterra blazer body that should be here tomorrow. This will mainly be a trail truck, but the rear of the cage looks like it sticks out too far and will limit approach angles. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Rough ride height mock up. I ordered some incognito body mounts and a stinger front bumper. I'm thinking of saving my money on 1.55 wheels/tires and just getting a slightly smaller 1.7 tire since these barely rub. I could cut out the wheel wells or raise the body, but I wanna keep this how it sits. [IMG][/IMG] |

For now, along with the body mounts and stinger bumper I have a dinky RC interior coming, wraith seats, 3d printed dash, vanquish servo arm, and some 3.98" fuel tires. Not gonna run a full rear bumper so I cut the stock one to use just the hitch reciever. Also gonna try out a merv size 3s.

Took the rear link spacers out after the pics and tweaked the interior so now the body fits perfect. Also ditched the 3d dash for the dinky dash. All that's left is to add side mirrors, door handles, wiper blades, and throw some accessories in the back. I couldn't leave the rear windows clear so I tinted them with just 2 light coats so you can still see in. Can't tell in the pics, but I also put 2 coats of black on the outside of the topper then 2 coats of bed liner . [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Looks good. Tires look a bit small for the wheel wells. Of course that body is pretty big. Any other pics of the bug?

Thanks, here's a side pic of the bug with the Blazer's. The bug's a work in progress, just something for my kids to roll around the driveway with the body off. During full flex the tires on the v2 Blazer fit inside the wheel wells perfect without rubbing. I almost went with a 3.7" tire which would've been too small, but I'm happy with the scaleness. The rear body post would have came through the rear seat in the stock location so I flipped the shock mounts around and used the stock mounting holes. Didn't go too detailed inside since I did in my rc4wd blazer and it gets lost anyway, just added some dash decals, door handles, window cranks, painted a wraith steering wheel, and a wraith shifter. Mounted a 1/16 3s under the hood so I wouldn't have to remove the incognito body mounts every time to get to it. Also had to mod the front body mount a little. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

Gmade rsd's came out today at rpp so I ordered 2 pairs of 90mm piggybacks and went ahead and picked up the rc4wd rock sliders while I was at it.

Looks good, but I like it better with the 1.7 Boggers and trim the wheelwells just a tad. |

Thanks, but after getting the interior in the boggers won't work. I have about 1/4" from the rear of the interior with the grippers. I stretched the boggers on the stock 1.9's so I can put those on and let them rub, or run them with the Silverado cab. I want this to be more of a class 1 trail rig, and get an acsender to run taller 1.9's.

Gmade rsd's built! 2 using stock springs and 2 using rc4wd 90mm rock krawler springs. All 4 using sawback upper pivot mount thingies instead of the plastic ones from the shocks. Ording a set of aluminum beef tips and an rc4wd 110mm spring set which uses 44mm springs, as opposed to the rsd's which use 46mm springs. I'll try on the shocks while waiting for my order and get the rc4wd rock sliders put on later today. [IMG][/IMG] |

Rc4wd sliders are a perfect fit and the upward bend is just what I wanted to hide the gap. Shocks seem OK, but gonna switch the front to 55wt oil and change to softer springs. Hopefully I can get a test in tomorrow, but I can tell for sure the springs are too stiff. Gotta build a scale shop for this banner now. [IMG][/IMG] |
