Default SCX10 II Cherokee build

I recently got into scail crawlers and this is going to be my first build. I have been into rc vehicles for years but this is my first crawler. For this build I figured I'd start with simple modifications and work my way up as I go. Currently I plan on upgrading the links and also upgrade to 100mm shocks to get more suspension travel and better flex. I may also eventually change to body to a jeep Comanche hard body but I don't know for sure yet. I have already upgraded the gears in the transmission to all metal gears and I also upgraded the steering servo.

I also am planning on adding a winch with a wireless remote soon but I have a few questions about that.
1. What winches have other people used and what do you all recommend?
2. What remote and receivers work well?

Here is a current picture. Mostly stock for the exterior the only thing I did is add the D rings to the bupper.

I am running the rc4wd warn 9.5 winch. It does take a bit of trimming on the front bumper to fit. Overall it fits the scale of the Cherokee pretty good.

I just got new beadlocks in the mail today, unfortunately I probably won't have time to put them on for a few days because of school. But I can't wait to see how they look!

I really like that Cherokee. I almost bought one, but went for the K10 Ascender instead, since I'm a Chevy guy at heart.

I completely understand that and I also love the K10, they are very nice looking. I probably won't keep this body though. I eventually want to get a Jeep Comanche hard body.

I ended up having time to work on getting the new rims mounted so here she is! I absolutely love the new look!

The next thing I plan on doing is making a cantilever suspension system for it.

I finally got around to working on the jeep a little more. Tonight I replaced the stock lower links with some that made. I used some 8-32 althread threaded into Traxxas 5347 ball ends with 1/4 inch steel break line for an outer sleeve. They are much more durable than the cheap stock links.

The other thing I did recently is I finished the mounting brackets for the cantilever system. Hopefully I will have time to finish the rest of the cantilever system later this week.

So I am officially the slowest ever at building a rig but whatever.

I finally got around to finishing the cantilever system today and I absolutely love it! Now if I ever get around to changing the body on this thing to a truck with a bed I should have no problem mounting it (fingers crossed).
