How have the new “metal” transmission gears been holding up in the RTRs? Typically the idler gear has been the first upgrade I’ve done on my older trucks. Getting ready for a new build.

I ran a 3k 4 pole brushless in mine for a while on 3s. Zero issues. People have been having issues breaking screws off in the housing due to the tough plastic. A 3mm tap is recomended. |

I run a 2280kv 4 pole on 3s, I'm not easy on it and have had zero issues.

Same here. 540 Revolver (fourteen pole brushless outrunner) on 3s with 2.2"s, so far, so good! At ~$6, the sintered metal (particle board of the metal world!) were worth a shot, I haven't been disappointed and have put these tranny gears in a few Wraiths now too.
