| SCX10ii Steering Horn Interference
I may be posting this in the wrong place, but I've looked and can't find any good info on this. Each of the 10ii builder kits I have assembled have given me trouble with the steering servo horn (metal horn) hitting the frame and shock mount/panhard mount. I have been grinding the frame a little bit for it to clearance that, but at full steer I am still hitting the shock tower/panhard mount where it hangs below the frame. What am I missing, what can be done to clearance both of these items and still get full steer to that side? Any tips or advice or sharing of knowledge of what you gusy have done is greatly appreciated. |

20 mm horn, you might need to space the servo up 1 to 2mm Hang up and Drive |

I left my servo in the stock spot and just had to grind off a bit on the servo horn which IMO is better than grinding the chassis rails. But every servo is a little different dimension wise so your mileage may vary. |

I had to use spacers in the 4 holes of the servo and it would still touch the chassis. What I did was also use a file in the horn and reduce the material it had. Then with my transmitter I limit the steering angle.

I left my servo as is and just backed up some of the throw. Still turns decent. I will re-visit this issue when I go to swap out my servo...

On my wifes scx10 ii, i angled the servo horn towards the passenger side away from the panhard mount. It still gets full throw without hittin the panhard mount Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |
