After getting home I yanked the stocker and tossed in the Br00d motor I won at Scale Nats this year. Was told it's a 27 turn.... It lasted less than 20 feet before it too went up in smoke. It made more smoke than the stock Axial 20 turn and it was even burning plastic!!

So for winning Nats, you got a paper weight.

Little update, not as cool as others dropping $$$ on upgrades. I'm upgrading as needed to keep it running.

Recently added,

-Installed Spektrum receiver for DX3R operation
-HR transmission gears
-MIP's
-CC Mamba Max Pro ESC
-Team Powers 13.5 brushless motor
-Flipped lower link mounts

All I can say is that between the MMP and 13.5 sensored motor, it crawls great and has excellent speed. Very crawl-able even with stock pinion and spur. I tried a 18-tooth pinion first and was perfect for crawling but lacked that extra mph on the top end for me. Swapped in the stock 20-tooth pinion and it feels great. Might bump up to a 23-tooth or 25-tooth this weekend for running in the dunes to gain more top speed.

Pics and video to come!

Once again, add upgraded items and the next weak link decides to let loose. Big jumps in the dunes means broken parts. Only drove it for about 2 minutes before the wheel decided to remove itself.

It was awesome. Really stable but the old school HPI wheels widen it's stance more than the stockers. Jumped very nice. Was cool to stop halfway up a hill, then peg the throttle and watch it launch itself up the hill.

Drove this thing for a few hours out at the TCS Goldendale USRCCA Qualifier over the weekend. Was not comping with it, just bashing around.

Finally got the rear diff to strip out. Feels like the locker finally let go. Time to dump some metal into the diffs to keep them together with all this power and jumping.

Raw phone footage, blurry,
