A little carnage after the event, so out came the new parts and new Lube by team3six.

This stuff is balck and you can see some of the additives Norm has introduced to it. It goes on nicely. The large bottle that is a squeeze tube makes it so easy to apply.

A little bit is all you need to coat the gears

Cant wait to run it again to see/feel/hear the difference.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but from the third pic it looks like you're putting a plastic main gear in the transmission case along with metal idler/top gear?

I did, it was all I had to replace it with. I have stripped it out again and replaced it with a Robinson racing hardened gear.

The LHS didnt have the robinson replacemet gear for the ax10 which fits right in the Wraith. So I contacted rbgerrish at Tammies and he turned me on to the RR gear for the diff on a associated gt2. It is part# rrp2241....fits perfect. Did a little more research and it looks like the diff gear for the gt1 will also work but I havnt tried that gear so take it for what its worth.

Decided it was time to make some changes to the look of the cage and general profile of the rig.
I decided to cut the cage and bend the bars. Nothing new, but I liked the look. I started byt cutting off the parts I didnt want to remain. Then a little trimming to the ends so that when it was bent the angles would work out. Also needed to trim the gussets off at the bend so they would flow properly. A little sanding with the dremal to clean up the cuts and some liquid nail super adhesive and this is the end result. Time will tell if the liquid nails adhesive is the right product.

Then I thought it would look good with the cross bars also bent down to the main frame.

I was also lucky enough to get ahold of RCBros new window nets.

Installed

I think these nets add yet another dimension to the profile of the rig. They fit really good and are very easy to install. If you have painted your cage they will also act as a rub rail and protect the paint.
Thanks William, I am really happy with the look of these nets.

Nets on the inside looks way better.

I like the fact you can mount them either way, A little dremel work to them and it totally changes the look. Rock racer or madmax, you choose.
