Default Hotwheels

Freqeskins and photoshop for the win

Future plans include a frame mounted servo and winch plate. In my mind I have this worked out, will have to see if it pans out as planned

Red beadlocks and pitbulls to lower the ride hieght

Sensored brushless system

And a few scale goodies...............

Going to try and keep this rig light and nimble, although,I am sure some VP alum goodies will make there way into this build.

So I have had this rig for 5 days now. I never even ran it in stock form.Unboxed it and got it NAKID ASAP

1st thing was to relo the electronics to the back and make room for the 4000mh 3 cell.I also added a CC bec to accomodate the higher voltage. When I relocated everthing I just moved the electronics box and esc holder. I left the trays they mount to in the original locations. You can see in the pics that the screws wedge them into place and the supplied velcro keeps them there.

You can see the size of the 3s lipo,Know idea how long it ran for....3 friends and myself used the heck out of it and when I did charge it,it still had 1000mh left in it.Lots of jumps and abuse, the poor little stock motor was hating it.

That was fun but the truck needed some more attention. I used traxxas big bore shocks on all 4 corners. 3.5 in the rears and 4" in the front. his dropped the ride hieght about 1/2 inch.Shock oil is unk While I was at it I also over clocked the front C's. You have to elongate the hole slightly, only 1 extra spline was what I did.And added a 5995 servo

Time for some more speed and low end resolution. For this I used HH 13 turn crawlmaster and a 4s 1550 mh battery.Still using the stock esc and it seems to be working great. Run time was 40 minutes when I quit.Dont know how many mh it will take to charge..its on the charger now.Slow crawling on the trails with a few bursts of speed in the parking lot. This is way faster than stock and the low end is great considering I am still running the 20/84 combo. I will probally drop the pinion a few teeth as the motor was hot after the high speed passes.A shortcourses sensored brushless is on its way..we will see how that does soon.

Both these batts will fit under the hood, you have to take the lower windsheild cross brace off to get the big one in placeand the larger one does hit the servo under compresion.

I also added these wheels (unknown), the offset is perfect, just misses the steering arm. full wrap of lead and pitbulls installed and the truck is extremely planted..side hills, verts, decents etc. I works better than my C3 rig I took 4th with at MSD

Just some general shots...

How do you like the Hitec 5955 on this rig? I have the same one laying around and I'm planing on running it on my Wraith.

I put that servo on mine before g-6 at awcc and it worked great, but in long run mine will be a 7950

I'm a HW's collector myself man and that looks bad ass.
You got the wheels turning now. I wonder how a Johnny Lightning wrap would look?

Looks awesome, Devlin! Really curious what you end up doing to get a chassis mounted servo.

I wonder if C3 at Nationals next year is going to be nothing but Wraiths!

Thanks Tommy.

Funny you should say that, becuase with the few mods I have done to it so far it would kill my "box"....but it is lacking about 37 points also Scaler points do work

On the servo I have a few ideas that will work without having to drill any holes into the plastic chassis, just need to find the time to make up the plate and fab the pan hard mount to it.. It looks like it will also double as a servo winch mount, we will see if there is actually enough space for both with out interference during full compresion.

Playing around with some tuning and I discovered this...

A little comparison....
Stock Wraith seats weigh 54 grams

Team3Six seats weigh 12 grams

The Team3Six seats drop right into place

Norm, I need some custom seats to match the wrap

Devlin, looks like my kid likes your Wraith more than mine. He said he wants a Wraith that looks like yours. Again, thanks.
