I have 2x5000mah 2s runs, 4+ 1300mah 3s runs, and 3 or 4 1300mah 2s runs.

i would say they are broken in because i can see wear on them, while they are much better than when they were new and crawl better they still arent too great IMO they are very bouncy and just dont grab compared to the Losi claws and rovers I have ran on it, but they have also made a very tough climb but it took a lot of low speed spinning for them to finally grab and go.

Im pondring the fact of getting the R35 ripsaws because in the dirt these work pretty good!

I must send out a big THANKS to Eddie at Crawler innovations for the bikini top I won and I get the package and its a whole care package!

and here is a pic of the top, untill i get some more of it in action (currently waiting on a new spur gear ) I must say, I wasn't crazy about the cloth bikini top look at first, but now that I've seen it in person I love it! and it is about 1/2 the weight of the orignal top so that'll give me a itty bitty advantage on roll overs!

as well the top has a very spot on fit, feels very durable, and very well made!

finally got rid of the garbage stock wheels!

got some Pro- Line TSL's and some XR-10 wheels running the stock memory foam (going to be swapped), 4oz in each front via axial rings, 2 slugs in each rear. they work MUCH better! and the rig is much more stable with the weight!

stock tires could never climb here!

needs to get rid of the mem foams ASAP! temp was ~ 60*

Looks good! I'm amazed that your able to steer at all with 4oz in the front on the stock steering links and servo. I took mine for a rip around my basement after i weighted the front wheels and then drove straight out to get a new servo and made a steering link. At a stop, the servo wouldn't even try to turn the wheels and when it did the steering link just bowed.

It steers okay with the weight, but does tend to stall the servo out a little more on the rocks, but it definitely needs a new steering link the stock is a limp noodle! but I am amazed at how well the TSL's hook!

should have more pics after I rebuild the motor, relube the axles, tranny, and add a bit of oil to the shocks.

well after a spell of breakage with a 2nd servo horn, and a dog bone, I believe a better servo and metal arm as well as linkage and universal axle shafts are going to be the next upgrades!

I loved the HH BR-XL esc and 2012 13t crawlmaster team motor combo, but I wanted just a little more speed wise for the bash-ablity if you will, and I'm lazy so I did want to get away from having to rebuild a fast motor often. SOO........ after pondering for a few days I pulled the trigger on a 13.5t Tekin redline motor and a Tekin RS ESC to pair it with!

and since I was left with 3wd because of the dog bone i went ahead and took out the front drive shaft for a little 2wd fun to test the new brushless sys, on 3s! so I threw on some old 2.2 rock claws!

heres a few pics from the last run with the HH combo that broke the dog bone.

I was surprised how well the TSL's cleaned out in the sticky clay on this washed out hill climb!

so far the breakage list is as follows-
2 servo horns
dog bone
stock tranny gears
drive shafts
and 2 48p spur gears, as soon as this 3rd one strips im going 32p

fianlly got a new axle shaft, and decided to do some upgrades to it!

new HD ring and pinion for the rear, as well as a no slop locker

hopefuly I'll get the rounded set screw out of the drive shaft so I can put the new pinon in!

Great looking build, what motor esc combo that is close to stock or a little faster do you like? I plan on 3s, maybe 2s lipo with mine.

well I've ran 4 combos in it
stock 20t and axial esc (20t pinon)
HH 20t torque master motor and HH BR-XL esc (18t pinion)
HH 13t crawlmaster motor and HH BR-XL esc (18t pinion)
then my current Tekin RS 13.5t brusless combo (18t pinion)

all ran on 3s lipo, and 2s now and then.

the 20t was much faster than stock but lacked good low end control and low end on the rocks

the 13t was just a tiny bit slower than stock but an awesome all around combo. great low end and good top end to boot.

the RS system is sick! slightly faster than stock, and great low end. very great torque through out. Only reason I went brushless over the 13t combo is because of less maintenance and it was easy for me to get.

Wow, I can't believe how much stuff has broken. I can't wait for mine to start breaking. It's the only way I can sell upgrades to the "boss". LOL. Great thread by the way.

I love them! super fast to mount a tire, and I have Ballooned tires on them and never had a correctly seated bead come out. just have to be careful with the TSL's as they have a fat bead.

I'm not nice to this rig at all.... i take my anger out on it!

and more has broken!

I put the open diff in the front axle hoping to save the dog bones until I get some CVD's for it! and we got some snow!

In the snow i managed to break a rod end on the steering link, broke another delrin rear linkm and I stripped a spur gear!

here is a picture of most of the broken parts! (doesnt include 3rd stripped spur, and 2 broken rod ends, 1 being a revo end!)

Thanks for the reply, I'm kinda worried how they'll hold a bead. I'm finishing my kit now and just installed Titan 21T with 14/56 gearing (32 pitch), 3s and Tekin FXR. This is with the kit R35 Ripsaws.
