Looks good Marc! I heard the ultra4 comps are a blast, I may just have to pick up a wraith now!

While I was out fun crawling last weekend I saw this rig finally hit the dirt. I took a small break from driving to scope out the competition for the up coming Ultra4 race on the 18th. I have to say this rig looked pretty dialed. Should be able to hold it's own and possibly chalk up a 2nd place right behind my Wraith

Anything new this week?

Second place= the first loser!!!
Im not a loser!!! You must be forgetting that axial has my wraith on their FB page??? I'm kind of a big deal these days!!!

Don't worry T, I'll be there for you when you need a winch up!!!(even if I have to turn around to come back for ya)

Brushless is in. Having a weird clicking noise when I let off the throttle. I think it's the motor?? It didn't have any noises until I swapped the motor.

Servo is back on the axle.
Taillights are moved some interior additions are in the works.

I bought a winch, but it won't fit obviously. Thinking about a new bumper from mg200 to give her a different look than the rest of the wraiths I'll be beating!

Been slowly chipping away at my to do list this week.

I had to stop to get my comp rigs prepped for tomorrow but I finished them up yesterday afternoon.

Swung by the hobby shop yesterday so T-Money could Upsell me on a couple items.

I picked up some axial standoffs to stiffen up the chassis, and he also had just received some RC4WD Ballistic Fab diff covers. I had some VP diff covers in my shopping cart on the website, but it's hard to beat a product that's in my hand!

I also finally started my rear spare tire tray/electronics cover.
I mocked it up with paper and then just cut the diamond plate styrene into shape and started glueing.
Getting it out will be a total PITA, but every other way I thought of doing it wouldn't have looked that good.

Here is my progress from last night.

I wanted it to resemble the honcho bed in a way, plus I will be able to tie it in to my inner fender wells that I'm planning on building.

I'm finally starting to chip away at this project again.

I had decided that I wanted a winch, so with no time on my hands these days I contacted Trenton MG200 for one of his front bumpers. He had it on my doorstep in exactly one week!!!

I love the look that it gave the front end. Now I am working on remounting the lights and finishing up my rear tray.

That's all for now!

Got her all buttoned up for tomorrows ultra 4 race!

I haven't wired up the winch though. It's going to have to wait until after Xmas time to get done!

So far the only use they have seen was a slow crawling adventure at a local coml spot. They felt awesome.
We will see how they handle the high speed action tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be the true test for this rig. I've pretty much babied it the while time.
Tomorrow it will get some punishment and serious abuse!

Nice and clean looking wraith! By any chance do you have a close up of how you mounted the lower lights they came out nice. I'm also trying to add a winch to the front and looks like I'm going to have to get a front bumper also and do something like what you have.

I stripped a spur at gate 47 today and couldn't finish.
I was flying through the course and the rig felt awesome.

I will admit at high speed the shocks didn't feel the greatest, but I had a 3 cell die on me within a couple minutes. I switched to a 2 cell and it was way better.
I felt like I had control of the rig at top speed.

All in all I really liked how well the rig felt. I have a couple plans in store to make sure I don't have any failures at the next comp.

Just a piece of aluminum stock that I bent 90* and drilled out.
I'm going to remake them to move the lights further back.

I've only had it out once so far, but will definitely be getting out more in the coming weeks!

Specs are:
Integy 35t v11
Cc bec
Hitec 7954 servo
Thunder power 65c 3s lipo
CAC ez locks
Proline tsl's
Freq e skinz are being created as we speak
Axial scx10 aluminum shocks with soft springs

Chaotic Crawlers Titanium steering tie rod and draglink!
Chaotic Crawlers Titanium upper and lower links!!!

The links really changed the appearance of this rig!
I think they look spot on when it comes to scale appearance!

The shocks really helped the look of this rig as well!
They lowered the ride height to were I wanted to be and they look a lot more scale than the stock shocks!

This rig will be more for crawling than bashing, but it will definately see some drunk driving at our night comps!!!

Onto the pics...
With what esc? Pics gone....

I am now running a tekin RS with a losi 17.5 xcelorin.

I love the brushless system over my old integy v11 35t and stock speedo setup.

Much smoother and more powerful.

Thanks! Pics problem was on my end, there now.

Those CAC wheels are sweet looking! Do you bash hard with them and if so, how have they held up?

Gave them their first real bashing this weekend and they held up great.

They did cut the bead off of one of my tires prior to the race.
If they aren't mounted correctly, they seem like they want to tear beads.
Plus they are a bitch to get mounted up correctly!

Thanks, how wide overall do they make your Wraith? Which way are you running them narrow or wide?
