I still tap my revo ends partially to lower the chance of stressing the plastic fwiw...

I am not calling you a liar by any means but how are you bending them? and how much does your rig weigh?

I'm running 6mm brakeline and 8/32 zinc coated all thread the cheapest, not stainless, not hardened, I wanted it to bend vs break... I've broken a wraith axle housing, pulvarized half a dozen frt wheel bearings, and have wore out, maybe whored out is a better term, a set of Revo ends trying to clear the x-over at the local track and some Foffing heroics. I have yet to hurt a link or break an end. I've posted vids everywhere, I'm known for my responsible driving style and good lines here's the link
Axial Wraith videos - YouTube

Were you tightening the rod end all the way up against the sleeve?

#tra 5318 push rods
with traxxas jato rodends on 1 end of the rods.

because mine sits so low i can get away with the straight links on top.
if it were up a bit more id have to bend them a lil bit.

The root across the center of the climb definitely tosses a monkey wrench in. It's cool to see it driven hard

Ahhh RC3WD Strikes again! Grab some axial universals and you wont have that issue anymore . Good to see the rig getting used. Should throw a longer bolt/nut on that steering link so ya dont lose it mid run.

Still a nice setup and still nice to see it not a shelfer. Maybe those rod ends ripping out were acting as a slipper clutch protecting those xvd's

I was kinda leery about reusing revo rod ends but they refuse to rip out... If that gives an idea to their durability. Threaded first of course.

can't get enough of this Killer set up..are the metal pins weak in those? I saw where someone said "replace those pins with cut off drill bits".
