Default 4xFord's Jeep TJ 4ws course killer

Well, I bought a used RTR and got it together rebuilt quick for the Crawler Innovations G6 comp this past weekend.

I am using an HPI jeep TJ body, R35 ripsaws, MM pro, 3300kv Pro4, under and over gears, maxx shafts, built axial trans. I will get better tech pics soon. Also modded the cage per "pardonmynoob".

This car is extremely capable. Interior will come soon, I ran out of time to get it in and detailed. Still need a roof as well. Anyways, here are some pics! (Thanks JeremyH and others)

Gotta love 4WS on these! Most fun I've had in a long time with an RC.

Oh yea, I can't decide if driving this is practice for my super of if driving the super is practice for this rig.

Thanks guys.

Here is my solution to the bumper supports. 5/16 delrin rod. A standoff between the shock mounts and two straight from the bumper to it. Fishmouthed.

Looking good. Makes me want to try out the rear steer thing. Does the rear hold good and straight when your not wanting it to turn?

That would be entirely dependent on the servo you were running. With some thing fairly high powered it will stay as solid as a rock.

I trimmed the bumper to make it more like a stinger, goes with the jeep well I think.

The truck looks great, the stinger looks better than the stocker with the Jeep body for sure. Looking at your thread helped me decide to build my wraith as 4ws, I have all the parts on order, now I just need to be patient and wait for them to show up. I always tell myself, "I am gonna leave this truck mostly stock" but that only lasts until I break something then I generally go nuts w/ upgrades.

how are you controlling the torque twist on yours? i just added 4ws to mine and the twist is horrible!!! a while back i swapped the pinion gears around so the motor turned the right way(i guess!) and the torque twist was worse, but not terrible. i added the 4ws and it's BAD! i'm loving the extra turning radias and all, but when i hit the gas it'll put the rear tire into the fender with the tires straight! it'll bind up if the tires are turned!
