is it possible to plug the lights into the 3rd channel on a reciever and use the 3rd channel on the transmitter to turn the lights on and off? got a good deal (i think) on a spektrum dx3c today! would like to set up the third channel as an on/off switch for the lights. |

Not without a light controller that is designed to do that. The stock board is just resistors.

| I believe either will work since the lights are only taking power, no signal.

Hobbyking makes a RC Switch also. Its like 7 bucks or something like that. We use them in our planes for night flying and you just need a open channel to turn them on and off. Last edited by 1320Fastback; 10-11-2011 at 06:54 PM. |

You should be able to trim the plug to make it fit. Some plugs have an extra piece that sticks out that needs trimmed off to make them fit in some receivers. I made mine work with a spectrum receiver.

I just trimmed mine today to fit in my spectrum receiver. Just trim the tab on the side like moparguy said.

i cut the tab off, still doesn't fit. think i may have to sand it down a little. it's just a hair thicker than the other plugs. which port are ya'll plugging the lights into? bind or aux port?

| It will fit but it is tight. You may need to put the plugs in the receiver leaving an open spot in the middle and slide the last plug in. This will let them all fit. If you try to fit the last plug in on the end it is tough to get lined up. I hope that makes since to you.

you could use the aux channel to have a micro servo make then come on and off . by settign the 3ch to 2position and having a servo on a push button switch you could have it working on and off using all 4 slots on the rx if you know what i mean
