Got my 5995TG servo put in the wraith today, and it seems like its running really hot. The servo makes alot of noise just sitting immobile, so im thinking I need to look into the BEC upgrade. Im running the Torquemaster ESC Waterproof version, so what BEC should I be running? It seems like it robbed power from my motor so I need to get this fixed.

Castle creations bec, is what I use to use. My buddy uses it as well. Funny though, I run a Savox 1256 and don't use a bec..

Some updated pictures of the recent state of the wraith. So far since, I have installed the 5995TG servo from hitec, I lengthened the wheelbase a tad, now im running 91mm links up front with a spacer (around 94mm), and 106mm in the rear. Flexes nicer and the added wheelbass helps lower it a tad. Also put a chevy emblem, rifle and my tow strap in the rear.

Rifle ready

Mmm, servo power

Chevy!

And for kicks

For those in the PDX area, the island is partially open. So nice to go there instead of high rocks all the time! Already busted a rear driveshaft, probably time for an aftermarket one. Also will be starting a new wraith build for the gf, she loved it

Bought a 5000 30c 2 cell venom lipo battery yesterday, along with a 23t motor and a waterproof xl5 esc (since my torquemaster died on me!!).. Everything was running smooth until now the esc is blinking green, not fast but its blinking like its not binded. Any suggestions? I was using it maybe 2 hours ago and went to go run it again and it wouldnt move. The steering did work though. It was working really well too! Perfect amount of power and the right amount of wheelspin for my taste

Heres some pictures before it stopped on me

Switched things up, got a new frame and swapped everything over. Using the stock ripsaws cause they actually bite pretty well! Only thing that sucks about them is that they are light, I want to seperate them someday and get some weight in those with some new wheels!

Heres some updated pictures!

Axles been seeing some usage

Washin off

Lots of pictures, just for you guys and gals ;)

Great pictures. I really like the way you changed up the lights over time. I noticed you switched from a frame mounted to an axle mounted steering servo at one point. Is there an advantage to this?

Thankyou sir. In the process of switching things over i didnt do the links or the panhard mount. I was in a hurry to get it put together so i skipped it. Doesmt seem to be affected much, though i just crawl and dont run it at high speeds so that might be a factor. For me, it works fine without

New shoes, used actually.. 2.2 mickey thompsons on stock black 8 holes. Mounted them up reversed, cant tell if it would make a huge difference or not but I decided to do it since Ive seen others do it before.

Also got a castle ESC, castle BEC and the rig runs great with the 5995tg servo. No more crazy sounds coming from the servo anymore haha.

Heres some shots from today. Debating whether or not to chop the cage up or not. I miss the buggy look from the other wraith chassis I had.

Too much sticky? Nah, they did pretty good. They were almost too soft, burned motors up too quickly.
