| Tekin Pro4 question
This is a noob question but I want to run this motor with the mamba max pro. All of the pics I see of this motor it looks like you have to solder your own wires to it. Is this the case are does it comes with wires already on it? Also whats the best gearing to go with this setup? Looking to order as soon as I get an answer. Thanks! |

Yes you do have to solder all your own wires on there. I does come with a 200mm long sensor wire. I would suggest 14/56 32 pitch gears.

Whats the sensor wire for? I'm new to rc's obviously but the stock 20t just has 2 wires that come off it that connest to the speed controler.

The Tekin Pro4 is a brushless sensored motor. the sensor wire is short terms make the motor operate smoother than sensorless brushless motors. Brushless motors are 3 phase motors and the sensor on the back of the motor tells the speed controller where the rotor is and tell witch phase of the motor to apply power to for smooth operation. That is really the best way i know how to explain it. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

Witch one? 3300,4000or 4600? Most run the 3300kv on 3s. I have tried the 4600kv with 14t-54t 32 pitch on 2s and works great Rob |

I am running the 3300 on 4s at the moment and it has crazy torque and speed. fair warning get ready to drop some $$$ on driveline upgrades. I am personally going to go back to a Tekin 13.5 redline. It gets the job done pretty good.

13.5 is enough. Pro 4 does work though. I finally broke down and got a Holmes 13 turn. Works like he made it ffor the Wraith. pro 4 was for my Slash 4x4 but I couldn't resist tryin it in my Wraith beffore mounting in my slash. | |
