| My Christmas Wraith!
Well, I had a splendid Christmas. Children all got what they asked for (a first in this house) and so did Mom and Dad. I got me a brand new RTR Wraith, R35 Ripsaw tires and 3 2s lipos. I also got a little card that told me some Vanquish rims were on the way but didn"t make it in time for Xmas. Now, I had it out for the first time today. Ran it with a friend of mine that brought out his tricked out Honcho. Some observations that most have already addressed but I would like to as well. The steering links? What are these things? Horrible flex in them. These need to go and I addressed this problem by placing an order for aluminum links right when I got back. The bounce? What the heck, this bounces around like a jack rabbit. Shocks need some tuning, badly! But it seems like a well designed unit. Since I am new to the crawling scene, my first impression is overall, this thing is fun as heck. Can't wait for the mods to start. Anyway, here are pics of my stock Wraith. These will be a nice reference after I start the mods. Last edited by OSWHollowpoint; 12-26-2011 at 05:20 PM. |

Some 200cpl shock -oil will cure " the bounce" pretty well. Axial's soft springs do also help tremendously. The big, fat tires will still make it hop like a skippy-ball, whatever one does to the shocks. Watch the splined drive axles, they have a habit of twisting. Stick some 6mm alu-tubing in the males, that'll fix it. And, above all: have fun! |

Darn it. Ok, never had a problem posting pics from my gallery at another board that I use to host my pics online. Strange.
